How to Identify a Clinical Chameleon: A Focus on Celiac Disease
Presented by Alessio Fasano, MD, professor of pediatrics, medicine, physiology; and director, Mucosal Biology Research Center, University of Maryland School of Medicine. The program will outline the different clinical presentations for celiac disease, discuss the diagnostic tools currently available, examine the most recent data on epidemiology of celiac disease in the USA and worldwide and list methods for preventing it. The program is presented as part of the Family Medicine Seminar Series, sponsored by Mount Nittany Medical Center in collaboration with Penn State College of Medicine. A gluten-free buffet dinner is available at 6:00 pm for a nominal fee. This activity has been approved for AMA PRA Category 1 CreditTM.
